The well-being of children and youth is a marker of a truly happy society. Current policies and programmes are not fully attuned to respond to the needs and priorities of this segment of the population. In shaping the policies and programmes for children and youth, we aim to contribute towards:
- Achieving full and productive employment and decent work for all
- Reducing the proportion of youth who are unemployed or lack education and training
- Ensuring healthy lives and promoting nutrition and overall well-being of children and youth
- Ending discrimination and eliminating all forms of violence against women and girls
- Ensuring universal access to sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights
- Enhancing use of enabling technology for information and communications
